Amulets and Talismans: Lesson 1

Amulets and Talismans: Lesson 2

You should always cleanse and charge an Amulet or Talisman before you use it. For a charm that is meant to bring something to you, cleanse and charge it on the waxing moon, that’s when the moon is getting bigger. To charge it to keep something away from you, charge it on the waning moon, that’s when the moon is getting smaller. Your charm should stay in the temple on the altar (or another designated place) for a half moon cycle. That means that if you are making one to bring luck to you, make, cleanse and charge it on the waxing moon (getting bigger) and keep it charging until the moon is full, then your amulet is charged with intent (what you want it to do) and it is charged to grow, just like the moon does! If you are making a protection Talisman, to keep bad things away from you like bullies or bad energies, you would make, cleanse and charge your Talisman on the waning moon (getting smaller) to the new moon. That way your Talisman is charged with intent to keep things away from you, and will shrink your problem, just like the moon does!

  1. Describe what you would use to make an Amulet or Talisman of your choice. Tell about what you would use to make it, how you would cleanse and charge it, and whether you would use a waxing (growing) or waning (shrinking) moon cycle to charge it. Tell why.

Amulets and Talismans: Lesson 3

Amulets and Talismans can be made of anything that has some sort of meaning to you. If you are making a Talisman for luck, and you have something that makes you feel lucky, add it! If there is a specific person that you want protection from, try to get something that belongs to that person, or use something that reminds you of that person. For example, if there is a bully at school that keeps knocking your pencil off your desk, use that pencil (or a piece of it depending on the size).

  1. Make an Amulet or Talisman. Cleanse and charge it properly, and be able to tell why you used everything that you used to make it.
